Finding the right SEN school for your child

When selecting a school for a child with special educational needs, there is a lot to consider. What is the advice given on their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)? Would they flourish in mainstream education or in a special school? Is the state or independent sector better? And that’s before getting down to the specifics of particular schools – where location, class size, staff credentials and even the ineffable good or bad ‘feeling’ you get about a school come into play.
